Shinhan Securities Vietnam website rebuild
Rebuilding the official Shinhan Securities Vietnam website from a legacy PHP stack onto Next.js (in development)

Overview
A full rebuild of the official Shinhan Securities Vietnam website as a modern Next.js application. The legacy architecture — PHP with a custom CMS, a 7.2MB payload and a PageSpeed score of 19 — is being redesigned from scratch around performance, security and search.
This goes beyond a visual refresh: the goal is to raise Core Web Vitals, OWASP-grade security, SEO/GEO (visibility in AI search) and mobile account-opening conversion at the same time. (Currently in development.)
Goals
Performance
- Legacy → modern: PageSpeed 19 → target 65+
- Core Web Vitals: green across LCP, CLS and INP
- Images and bundles: automatic WebP/AVIF conversion, ISR, lazy loading, Brotli compression
SEO / GEO (generative search optimisation)
- Structured data: full Schema.org coverage — FinancialService, FinancialProduct, Article, FAQPage and more
- Built for AI citation: content structured to be quoted by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity
- Multilingual SEO: hreflang across Vietnamese, English and Korean
Security and conversion
- OWASP Top 10 mitigation and hardened security headers
- Optimised mobile account-opening funnel
Pages
Over 26 pages in multiple languages: product pages for equities, derivatives, funds, warrants and bonds; an investor education hub; a research and analysis centre; blog and market insights; plus company information, careers and events.
Tech stack
Next.js 16 + React 19 + TypeScript 5
Tailwind CSS 4 — design system
next-intl — Vietnamese / English / Korean

Shinhan brand typefaces (Shinhan / OneShinhan)
Scale
- 26+ pages (including translations)
- 52 reusable UI components
- 94 TypeScript files
- Three languages: Vietnamese, English and Korean
Design approach
The site has to carry Shinhan Financial Group's brand credibility onto the web while differentiating Korean financial expertise in the Vietnamese market. AI workflows are woven through design, development and QA to keep iteration fast without sacrificing polish.
